Turn off. Restart. Stay in control.

The Power interface provides administrators with full control over the deployment’s runtime state. From here, you can perform a graceful shutdown to stop the app safely, or a forced shutdown if needed. When powered off, the deployment retains its IP, disk, and data, but continues accruing transfer allowance. You can also perform a hard reset (Power Cycle) when normal shutdowns fail. For cost management, admins may choose to destroy the deployment entirely to stop billing.

Graceful Shutdown

Safely turn off the deployment while preserving data and state.

Data Integrity

Ensure data remains intact by preferring graceful shutdown before force stop.

Resource Retention

IP address and storage remain reserved when powered off.

Force & Reset Options

Recover deployments with force stop or full power cycle.

Forced Shutdown

Stop a stuck deployment immediately, with potential risk of data corruption.

Power Cycle

Hard reset the system instantly to recover from unresponsive states.

Billing Control

Manage ongoing costs by choosing the right shutdown strategy.

Turn Off

Stops the deployment but continues billing for reserved resources.

Destroy Deployment

Release all resources to stop billing entirely.

FAQs

A graceful shutdown attempts to close all processes safely, minimizing the risk of data corruption. If that fails, a forced shutdown immediately powers off the deployment, which may cause data issues.

Yes. Even when powered off, your deployment retains its IP address, disk, CPU, and RAM, and continues to accrue transfer allowance charges.

To fully stop billing, you need to destroy the deployment. Powering off alone will not end charges because resources remain allocated.

Use Power Cycle when the deployment becomes unresponsive and you cannot shut it down or restart it normally. It performs an immediate hard reset.

No. Turning off preserves all data, disks, and configurations. However, forced shutdowns carry a small risk of data corruption if processes are interrupted.

Yes. You can power it back on at any time, and the deployment will resume with its retained data and settings.

No. A Power Cycle only resets the runtime state of the server. Your IP, disk, and configuration remain unchanged.

Always attempt a graceful shutdown first. This allows running processes to complete and helps protect data integrity.

Destroying a deployment permanently deletes it and ends all billing. This action cannot be undone, so backups should be created beforehand if needed.

Yes. Even when powered off, your deployment continues accruing its transfer allowance until it is destroyed.
